MISSION & VISION:

AK Fierce & CO’s mission is to provide a safe, diverse, judge-free environment built to empower the community and assist individuals in strengthening their identity and self confidence through the art form of dance. AK Fierce & CO’s vision is to be recognized globally for providing an inspiring outlet that will impact communities through education and appreciation of the fine art of dance.

WHO IS AK FIERCE?

  • MY BEGINNINGS

    • I am AK Fierce, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, whose journey into dance began during
    • my years at Trousdell Gymnastics Center. Under the guidance of dedicated coaches,
    • I honed my skills in Hip Hop and Jazz, leading to the establishment of a specialized "JV team"
    • to accommodate my abilities.

  • MY TRAINING

    • Throughout my academic tenure, I diligently expanded my dance repertoire to encompass diverse styles such as
    • Modern, Contemporary, and Lyrical, augmenting my formal training with
    • supplementary programs and self-directed study via platforms like YouTube.

  • MY BACKGROUND

    • At Leon High School, I immersed myself in vocal music and acting, mentored by esteemed directors Millie Seckel
    • and Rod Durham. I was inducted into the Thespian society and landed leading roles
    • in award-winning productions. Additionally, as a dual enrollment student, I made history
    • by joining FAMU's Mahogany Dance Theatre as the first high school member.

  • MY EARLY CAREER

    • In 2019, I founded Killer Heels, a dance company dedicated to fostering self-assurance and
    • confidence through the art of heels dance. After earning my MBA from Florida A&M University,
    • I became a traveling artist with Step Afrika, performing in over 30 different states and 2 countries,
    • with a career-defining moment as a performer at the White House's inaugural Juneteenth
    • celebration alongside Jennifer Hudson and Patina Miller.

  • MY FUTURE

    • Upon completion of my contract with Step Afrika, I transitioned my focus to nurturing the next
    • generation of dancers, assuming teaching positions at esteemed studios and
    • serving as a judge in the Red Bull's Dance Your Style Competition. Now, based in Tallahassee,
    • I am steadfast in my commitment to continuous growth and excellence in commercial dance,
    • with plans to collaborate and train alongside industry-leading choreographers.
