WORKING WITH AK

My experience with AK's open-level Killer Heels class exceeded my expectations! This was my first heels class after a year gap, and my first time going to a dance class by myself. The atmosphere was not only inviting, but it made space for my creativity to flourish. 10/10 would recommend to anyone from beginners to retired dancers!

AK is truly an unforgettable artist that I've had the esteemed pleasure of working with for 2 years during our time in Step Afrika! She always brought high energy on and off the stage and always conquered whatever challenging project was thrown her way. Her willingess to extend a helping hand to her castmates during their difficult times and hold her castmates accountable is unmatched. Working with AK was a great experience, and I would jump at the opportunity to work with her again.

Working with Akievia was invigorating and inspiring as a director. She is an inquisitive artist who seeks clarity in the execution of movement. That drive is infectious and helped expand my teaching style. Watching her perform on the stage was a testament to her work ethic in the studio. Her vibrancy and approach to dance is also what has made her into a conscientious teacher who gets the most out of her students. Working with her as a student, performer and teacher of dance has been a stimulating experience!
